Joe asked if there were any suitable audio described apps for the I Phone,
but no information was available, further investigation on this is needed
Bob is interested in getting an accessible navigation app for the Android
phone, unfortunately the apps that were mentioned such as BlindSuare, Google
maps and an Italian one called Ariadne, there was no information on
how these were accessible on the Android platform.
Eamonn was still having issues with voice over when replying to emails on
his iPhone, Bert suggested that Eamonn contacts him to see if the problem
could be resolved.
Cearbhall wants to change his iPhone 7, the SE2020 was suggested by several
members, advised to research whether to get the phone on a contract or buy
it out right and claim the VAT back.
The online Sight Village which starts tomorrow was discussed, to register
go to the Queen Alexandra website or contact Stewart Lawler to gain access
to the Sight and Sound area.
The Signal app was mentioned, some users found it good for texting, voice
messaging and making phone calls. The Cork group will be trying out the
feature to set up a conference call. there are some issues with unlabelled
buttons.
Mentioned was the advantage of the iPhone as a hotspot to connect a laptop
to the internet when on holiday.

, Coffee morning, information from Michael Lavin, National League for the
blind,
Keep fit group, information from vision for Ireland website
, Fighting Blindness is taking part in the Need to Talk project in the
border counties. We have a living with sight loss course available as well
as specially trained local counsellors. If anyone living in the border
