Hello,
I was puzzled when reading some emails on my iPhone with the latest update I
would come across one or two lines from an email I had originally sent in my
inbox.
Below is an email from another list explaining what was happening and how to
stop it.
ALBERT
Hello, I thought I'd send a message about this new switch in the mail===========================================================
settings in IOS16. It's just after the privacy setting, and before the
threading options. It's called follow-up suggesttions. Reading about this
feature answered my internal question about why some sent mail was ending up
in my inbox a few days later. I wonered if it was waiting to send that
message until that later date, or what was going on. It turns out that yes
the mail goes out when you send it, but if you have questions within that
email to whomever, then Apple thinks you might want to follow up, if that
person doesn't reply to your message. If you like this feature, it's on by
default, but if not, switch it off and your messages will not return to your
inbox like they have been.
