Cearbhall filled us in with his weekend trip to England.
He found the experience of Gatwick airport was very good.
He kept his long cane visible at all times, and found getting assistance at
the airport, both easy and really good.
Help was given in getting into a room with a number of other people for
priority boarding.
Our newest member uses an iPhone (iPhone 8)
But has recently bought an apple macbook.
He is having difficulty in using this new laptop.
There was nobody present today using Apple Macintosh note books.
Apple is normally used by people that are designing products as it is a
Graphic orientated computer.
However the key strokes used in navigating an iPhone should be the same as an
Apple note book.
Nile will take his time and get some help with instructions and reading the
relevant manuals.
Eamonn said that if one puts in the word SERO, into your search engine,
this would bring you to a collection of podcasts, and if you selected a
podcast by Mike Arigo, , this is a very good one podcasting on using an
Apple mac book, laptop.
Cearbhall gave Nile the instructions on joining the FB mailing list.
Eamonn is taking part in a training course this Thursday, and had questions
on using Teams.
Teams is the equivalent of Zoom, and is a Microsoft product.
Mary and Gerry said that he would get an E mail from the trainer of the
course, and when he clicks the link, he should be up and running.
Bob had a question on changing the order of files in one of his folders.
Cearbhall/Ken said that he should go to the menu bar at the top of his
folder,
Then press alt +T and then arrow down to View, and then Layout, and change
fromZ to A and change this to A to Z.

Marian is toying with the idea of buying a smart phone.
She wants to be able to send a text using her voice or dictating a message.
Cearbhall and others suggested the iPhone se 20 where using siri, she can use
her voice to do a text.
Marian also complained about going to the bank, and meeting a different
teller each time, causing her frustration , as she has to explain her
disability everytime.
She does not have a bank card. Mary and others said that she should ask her
bank for a bankcard, which she can tap to make purchases up to 50€
It looks like Marian is going to begin a steep learning curve.
Martin told us of a card named JAM.
This card says that the card holder needs extra time when visiting a bank or
supermarket for instance.
They might have autism or be hard of hearing or some other disability.
