A full house today, a whopping 19 participants.
Cearbhall was comparing his various headphones for sound quality.
It seems that the After shock headphones are not good as far as Zoom
meetings are concerned.
They are good for mobility outside as the sit at the back of your
ears and they are bone conducting headphones, leaving your ears free
for traffic noise and so on.
He tried his Bose headphones, and all present thought that this was
much better sound quality, using Bluetooth as well.
Eamonn has an YaHoo account , on his Iphone 5c and iPhone 8, he wants
to know if he deletes this mail account from his 5c phone, will the
YaHoo mail account still be on his 8 version of the apple phone?
The answer is yes, deleting from his 5c phone wont delete the account
anywhere else.
Joe got a PDF as an attachment on his Gmail account, but he cannot
open the attachment.
He has tried everything to no avail.
He is going to see if he can open the pdf attachment using his decktop
computer.
Bob joined us from sunny Portugal, where he is getting bronzed and handsome.
He found the Google translation very useful over there, for ordering
medicines.
Several people complained about some mails sent out went only to their
Draft folders.
Then they could not delete the mail from the draft folder.
THE SOLUTION is too open the mail again in the draft folder and sent
it to their inbox, where they can delete the mail.
Jackie is having a nightmare these days in trying to use the Tesco
app on her iPhone 11.
She never signs off, but now when she tries to sign on, she gets a
message unknown error.
She was advised to try signing on in incognito mode, and she could
sign on then, but more problems ensued.
She said that the Tesco website was worst still.
Declan said that iccognito mode cuts you off from all the cookies.
Marian is now able to organise a Zoom meeting with one other person.
Using F6 plus Tab to admit the other person.
She wanted to know how to organise a recurring meeting, and Declan
advised her on the procedure.
Well done Marian for this wonderful work.
Paul gave the meeting his progress on his new JVC smart TV set
combined with his Virgin Media 360 box.
He can change the channels by speaking while holding down the
microphone button,
Calling out BBC1 OR 2 OR RTE 1 or 2 will take you to the station you want.
You can use your voice to record a programme, then later use your
voice to access my recordings.
He has two remote buttons one for theTV and one for the virgin box.
Paul also subscribed to Netflix and watched a programme using audio
description.
He also had a busy weekend as he learned how to cast programmes from
his apple iPhone onto his smart television.
That's all folks, off to Galway next weekend, see everybody the
following week.
