Bert, told us about a new app which is called , SHAZAM, 
 this app allows  the user  to discover from a  piece of music, what the name 
of the artist singing is, and what the title of the song is
 the app is free, and looks like  a really good  bit of software. 

bert also explained on how he is able to access  his voice mail, from his 
internet phone at home, by a one off phone call. 

he rings a number for his internet provider ie, U P C 
and when the operator answers and says put in your phone number, 
he  puts in his home number  and then he is asked to press the hash button, 
and then he is asked to put in his pass word,  and press the hash button again. 
this is what Bert used to do, which was a long and cumbersome way of doing 
things. 
now he has found a better way of doing  this job, 

first he creates a contact for the  call, and calls it something like  auto 
mail ,  then he 

enters in the contact number, and adds a comma to delay  then he puts in his 
home number, 
and presses hash again,  and anothe comma to delay, and then  enters his pass 
word and repeats the comma and hash button, this allows him to make one phone 
call, 
and to enter  his home messages with just one phone call, 
well done Bert, always one step ahead. 
the number for U P C is01 2449805
so the steps again, 
ring upc and when she says  welcome to upc,  put in a comma then your house 
mber  followed by the hash button(enter)
anothe comma then the hash button and your password. 


other discussions  took place  regarding the poor  website of rte as regards 
visually impaired compared to the bbc, wher the information and links are 
visually impaired friendly.
