Tom,
The right indent is not the same as a hanging indent.
The hanging indent is from the left edge of the page to a tab position before
the text begins. The right indent is the opposite. It starts at a tab position
that indicates where the line will stop BEFORE THE END OF THE full LINE at the
right Edge of the page.
To remove the right indent:
Go to
Home > Paragraph dialog launcher > Indents and Spacing.
Under Special, select None.
Select OK.

Bit of advice wanted from one of you experts please I have a letter that has a
right indent of 0.98 cm, and I just don’t seem to be able to remove it I didn’t
put it there intentionally so assuming I hit a wrong key stroke at some stage.
I have used the short cut control, shift, and t and this says hanging indent
removed. So is a hanging indent in word on office 365 different to a right
indent and what is the way to remove the right indent
In advance I will say thanks so that I comply with a recent comment on the list
saying something like please please stop the thanks thanks emails or words to
that effect.
