the suggestion to add some guidance on how to use that link in the
subscription consent email is great. That link is not detected as a link
because it's missing the https:// for some reason - I guess it's an antispam
protection.
This addition is possible in the admin panel by editing the list's textfile
called subscribe-confirm. At the moment, that file only reads:
"Welcome to the fb-exchange mailing list!"
