hi folks, some notes on our workshop for july 16th,

and for a short time gerry eastwood
discussion:  using the key strokes control + letter o to type in an internet 
website using internet explorer, 
and also using the key strokes , left alt + letter d, to access the address 
bar, and typing the website  name here. 
 the quick method of saving a favourite by using key strokes control+letter d  
was also demonstrated. 
when saved  and a person wishes to go to the saved site, 
use   left alt button +letter a , and arrow up one place to find the latest 
saved site in your favourites. 

we then turned our attention to skype, and tried to find out mary's skype  
name, by using 
the contact list, . here we put in the persons name  e mail address, and 
country of residence, and skype will find that contact. 
jaws did not read the list of contacts, and paul suggested that the version 3.8 
is more accessible  to jaws users. 
there are scripts available for later versions of skype, but 3.8 version works 
well with jaws. 
 to find out the version of skype, one is using, use key strokes, control plus  
insert (jaws key) and the letter v. 
this also tells you the version of internet explorer when using that 
application. 
dominique also  informed us that control plus the letter m, will  introduce new 
mail to outlook  and outlook express. 
finally a discussion on mobile phone devices was held  for the particular 
benefit of gerry eastwood, 
mary using the apple i phone plus cearbhall, and gerry rock paul and dominique 
using nokia technology.
