Steve did come back to march with us as a whitebelt.... when we were butts, he
marched next to me since we both played alto sax. He used to take a huge dip
just before drill... the thought of all that nasty spit flowing through his
horn really grossed me out.
I don't remember him being with us as zips, though.

I found Steve Pipkin a few years ago after being surprised to find his mom in
an assisted living facility in New Braunfels where my mother in law was then
staying. I had a nice visit with his mom, who I knew from when Steve lived in
Corpus Christi, and then called Steve to reconnect. He lives in Cleveland, TX,
somewhere near Houston. He and his wife have a horse rescue facility. I
thought he came back and marched with us in other years beyond our first year,
but he didn’t graduate. He majored in Animal Science, or something like that.
I encouraged him to join our then yahoo group, but for whatever reason he chose
not to. He’s easy to find on Facebook.

I have looked for years to find Dan. He just vanished from the face of the

Bloomfield NJ, not making any progress.
