I remember Pipkin. He seemed to always have a big chew neath his cheek & gum,
as I recall. Being a city slicker, I had never seen anyone chew until I got to
A&M. In my freshman English class, there was a ct who kept a paper cup on his
desk to spit. I thought it was gross. Surprised the prof allowed it.
Any of these guys should be welcomed to this group.

I don't remember him being with us as zips, though.

I found Steve Pipkin a few years ago after being surprised to find his mom in
an assisted living facility in New Braunfels where my mother in law was then
staying. I had a nice visit with his mom, who I knew from when Steve lived in
Corpus Christi, and then called Steve to reconnect. He lives in Cleveland, TX,
somewhere near Houston. He and his wife have a horse rescue facility. I
thought he came back and marched with us in other years beyond our first year,
but he didn’t graduate. He majored in Animal Science, or something like that.
I encouraged him to join our then yahoo group, but for whatever reason he chose
not to. He’s easy to find on Facebook.

There was a Dan Sullivan our fish year in the band, from Bloomfield NJ. He did
not come back after the fish year.

I have looked for years to find Dan. He just vanished from the face of the
