President Jennifer welcomed our guest Jim. Then Luis announced that
nominations are still open for officer positions.

(Not an FRTM position, fortunately.)
Jennifer continued by announcing that our club is officially President's
Distinguished.
I reminded every one of the new badge bin. which is available to hold your
badge so you never have to take it to and from the club and will never
Forget it. Use is optional, but several of us have already found it
helpful.
Our own Colette is Chairing the inauguration of the new Toastmasters
International President at the international conference, which is being
held here in Denver in the Fall!!
Luis served as Toastmaster. The theme was water conservation in
landscaping. Landscaping uses 50% of the water in an average American
household. He shared some amazing facts. A single broken sprinkler head can
waste 25,000 gallons in six months.
Luis introduced his team.
Robin was Ah counter
Isaac was gesture master.
Sparky was grammarian.
Jennifer was quizmaster.
Jennifer was also inspiration.
And Alan was timer and joker.
Alan told a great joke about fishing, frauds, grasshoppers, whiskey, and
snakes. (YHTBT!)

Colette hosted a panel discussion about Next Door. Her three panelists were
Ray, Sparky, and Isaac.
Luis Gave us tips about water conservation. These included Mowing longer
and leaving grass clippings to fertilize and hold moisture In the lawn. He
also recommended watering early, for example 4 to 8 AM, because there's
less evaporation into the air. Finally, he recommended the use of organic
or slow release fertilizers.
Serving as our table topics master, Ray posed a series of deep questions to
us, each of which elicited a thoughtful response. (YHTBT!)
Serving as our general evaluator, Pattie brought me up to evaluate
Colette's presentation. I noted that it was a performance and not a speech,
and my one criticism of her performance was that she was criticizing
herself improperly. She actually did a superb job in all respects.
Pattie then called for reports, and evaluated the meeting as a whole.
The winners were:
