Friends,

Simply Speaking has submitted their topics to the pool.  One was a duplicate of ours, so we have a mutual pool of eleven.  Please submit a single vote by number of the topic you select.  Earl, Bill, Lori, unfortunately you cannot vote this time...
  1. Do violent movies and video games substantially influence violent acts in society?
  2. Should medical marijuana be recognized as a legitimate form of medicine that should be legalized nationwide?
  3. Should there be a ban on television advertisements aimed at children?
  4. Should news broadcasters be required to be balanced and impartial in their reporting of events?
  5. Should stem-cell research be permitted in order to find cures for diseases?
  6. Should a bi-lingual curriculum be required for students in the American school system?
  7. Should the United States abolish the Electoral College election system?
  8. Should the Olympics be canceled as a waste of time an money?
  9. Should same-sex partners be given the same rights as heterosexuals?
  10. Should social media and Internet communications be illegal in the United States?
  11. (Unsure how to word this into a proper debatable resolution) Product liability and personal responsibility: Where does one stop and one starts?
I need your vote no later than Friday 12:00 noon.  Simply Speaking has the same deadline.  The votes will be tallied and the final topic announced mid-day Saturday.

Thanks!

Dirk
