FRTM - It's a new year!

Greetings FRTM Members!

We had our last meeting of the year last night celebrated with Movie Night!  Yes nine of us braved the elements and had an absolutely wonderful time watching the International Speech Champions give unbelievable 5-7 minute presentations.  It was so inspiring!  Thank you Steven for organizing the munchies!  Thank you Ray for being our projectionist!

We have a new venue challenge with our venue for the coming year.  We will be meeting in the Council Conference Room for about 50% of our meetings through June.  Please look at the announcement board to the left of the elevators to determine which room we are in.  As always there are a number of dates that we are out of City Hall altogether, but not until March (as we know it now).

THE RED ROCKS TLI IS JANUARY 8th!

Every six months we hype this event.  It takes a Saturday morning of your life.  It's free to attend.  We often carpool to the event and go out to lunch afterward.

As a club, we are seeking to earn the distinguished award as this effort creates the most productive and vibrant learning environment for our members.  One of the requirements is to have our officers trained to do their jobs.  This event is the required training for those officers... so FRTM  officers... pleaseeee attend (this one or one of the others offered in Ft Collins, Colorado Springs, etc. in the coming weekends).

Ahhh, but you say, I'm not an officer, so what does this have to do with me?

1. You have the chance to listen to Byron Embry.  This guy is incredible...

2. You have a chance to talk to other Toastmaster Club members and understand how to improve our club.

3. There are some very interesting classes offered:

  -Power of Mentoring

  -Judges Certification Training (for speech contests)

  -Creating Speeches that Inspire and Motivate

  -Stumbling Blocks to Stepping Stones: Finding Dynamic Speech Topics

      ... and others

Be at Red Rocks Community College at 7:30 AM - ends at 1:00 PM - Breakfast served, we'll have lunch afterward.
