Toasties,I am your nomination coordinator for the upcoming club elections.
You're all familiar with the routine... you email me (just me, don't reply to
the whole list) with names of people you want to nominate, or give your list to
me at this Thursday's meeting. I follow up with folks to see which of the
nominated people are willing to run. If no one is willing to run for a
particular role, I start begging. (To save me from begging, you can always
nominate yourself for a role 'if no one else wants to run for it'.) Next week
(Dec 12), we have the elections. Positions that NEED a candidate are VP
Education and Sergeant at Arms, since Colette and Isaac are stepping down.
Nominations are also welcome for secretary and VP PR, since Alan and Richa both
volunteered to step in just to make sure the position was filled, last
election. President, VP Membership, and Treasurer have all indicated a
willingness to stay in office for a second term - although of course if anyone
is burning to hold one of those roles, you are free to nominate yourself and
have a contested election where candidates give election speeches.Let the
