Either Feb 28 or Mar 7 would work well in that time frame, and give the winners
a chance to practice before the F2 contest. I'd lean toward the 28th, just
because of vacations that have already been entered in Easy Speak.

Happy Friday fellow Toastmasters,
International speech and Evaluation Contest is coming. This is a big deal!
The winners of this contest will not only represent FRTM at the area level, but
quite frankly, will represent the Division (for Evaluation) and the District
for the International competition. I am of course alluding to the talent we
have and extrapolating facts to ascertain that our winners will move on and win
at all subsequent levels. That was a mouthful. We need to agree on a date for
our contest. I don’t know that I should be the dictator for that process. I
am thinking either February 28 or March 7th as club contest dates. If anyone
can provide the Area contest date, that may help us decide.
The really good news is I already have a timer, a chief judge, and a
Toastmaster for the evening. Please let me know if you will be a functionary
(worker bee) or a contestant (superstar). We need both to be successful. I
will be sending out reminders and bugging you at meetings, so you might as well
volunteer early to ease the guilt I will be laying on you.
In my defense, I volunteered to be the contest chair under the euphoria of the
meeting last night. We had 10 members and 11 guests. I did the math and it
appears we had more guests than members. It was a fun and entertaining night.
I don’t want to steal Jonathan’s thunder so I won’t elaborate any longer on the
fantastic meeting last night. Did I mention how much fun we had? See you next
week and don’t be afraid to respond back directly to me with your preferences
on the club contest.
Respectfully your club contest chair,
Robin McIntosh Jr.
