was Pattie and the theme was Yard Sales. She gave us some great information on
yard sales and a number of humorous observations. Some people are able to pay
for their vacations with yard sale profits. She is begging people to take

KathleenWe had three guests: Blu, Issac, and Susie Minskey.Ray was our first
speaker. His speech Shots Fired, Now What? was filled with rotten tomatoes. His
incredible focus, delivery, and content on what to do in case of a shooter
(Run–Hide–Fight, in that order) engaged even the most difficult audience
members. His evaluator was Luis who appreciated how well done the speech was
and gave a couple of suggestions for managing the rowdy crowd. Jeff gave us The
Science of Getting Your Sacroiliac In Gear. We learned how you can be half dead
and still make your morning coffee with Jeff's hand visual aid of the brain
stem, limbic system, and cortex. His evaluator was Colette who praised Jeff for
a well-organized speech that finished on time.Dirk spoke on the Sequence of
Verbal Communication. He reminded us to be aware of our audience and any
physical limitations with his illustration. He did not have an evaluator..
Kathleen was the table topics master and created a blind yard sale.
Participates picked a dollar amount (without knowing what the item was) and
then explained why they were excited about their newly acquired item.$0.10 got
Dirk a Vanilla Ice CD.$12 earned Robin a new desk.$6 landed our gest Blu an ice
cream maker.$5 added 32 NFL mini helmets to Zachary's collection.$0.25 secured
a screwdriver for our guest Issac.$0.99 was enough for Jeff's faux fur cost. $6
for a set of Martini glasses made Sparky money.$9 horrified Bill with cat
high-heels. $10 purchased a stroller for Susie.Robin was the general evaluator
and gave everyone grades with some good feedback on how/why they earned those
marks.Winners...Speech: RayTable Topics: SparkyEvaluator: ColetteFilling in for
