FRTM - Recap - FRTM Meeting May 23, 2019

President Jennifer announced four guests: Charlotte Cooper, Jim Montgomery,
Dede (sp?) Monroe, and Blu Mcqua (sp?).

While the meeting started with four guests, it ended with only three,
because Jim applied for membership and was voted in. Welcome, Jim!
Richa was Toastmaster. The theme was Mid-year resolutions.

Pattie was Timer/Joker.
Ah Counter was me.
Monica was Grammarian. Word of the Day was missing. (No, missing wasn't the
Word of the Day.)
Monica was also Quizmaster.
Colette was Gesture Master.
Isaac was Inspiration.
Speaker # 1 was Sparky, speaking about *Decade of Devastation. *It was an
icebreaker, delivered with surprising polish and a lot of heart.
Speaker # 2 was Luis, delivering *Pick it Up!* The speech dramatically
illustrated how much more pervasive is trash in our environment than most
of us ever imagined. (Luis had perhaps the most unforgettable prop ever in
a FRTM speech. YHTBT!)
Speaker # 3 was Alan, delivering *What Would You Do if You Had More Time
Today? *The speech made his persuasive case that FRTM can switch from 2
hour meetings to 1 1/2 hours, without significant loss of member
experience.

After the break, Table Topics Master Bill posed diverse questions regarding
internet communications.
GE Robin then brought up the evaluators and reports, giving great
commentary on the meeting.
Sparky's evaluator was Kathleen, who--despite being clearly impressed with
the icebreaker--found some improvements.
Luis' evaluator was Jennifer, who praised his great use of props and
passionate delivery, while finding a couple of possible improvements.
Alan's evaluator was Colette, who acknowledged that he delivered a
persuasive speech, tailored to his audience.
