Fellow Toasties!
The four upcoming TLI events offer opportunities to expand your leadership
skills. If you've served as a club officer, you may have the chance to lead
a one-hour meeting at one of the TLIs, in which you'll train new officers
to fulfill their duties. Each officer position is being trained at each TLI.
Should you apply and be selected, you'll have wide discretion for
conducting your session, though there is standard material which you'll be
encouraged to use as a model. Most such sessions start with introductions,
followed by a presentation with slides, then Q&A.
People are encouraged to make these fun! My suggestion would be to include
one or more amusing or entertaining anecdotes from your own experience.
Let me know if you'd be interested, which position you'd like to train, and
we'll try to make it happen.
