Greetings my friends!
As you undoubtedly know, President Trump has initiated emergency
sequestering actions. This has been supported strongly by the state and
community leadership and is being supported by us and the businesses around.
After my question about the folks willing to meet on Thursday, I received
about a 50/50 response of will attend vs won't attend. Bill Farrand stepped
up and has offered the use of his organization's Zoom account so we can
continue to hold our meetings virtually. (Thank you Bill!) We, as a club,
should plan to hold our meetings using this technology for the next three
weeks and reassess where the state of the situation is at that time. Bill
is in agreement with using his Zoom account for three meetings at this time.
To participate all you need is your laptop computer with a built-in camera
and microphone and an Internet connection. You will be able to participate
from your own home as you wish! There might be some folks meeting at Alan's
to participate there, contact Robin on this front if interested.

The way this will work is that we'll open up the meeting at 6:30 PM. When
you click on the link the first time, it will ask if you want to download
the small app. Say yes and it will put the file into your downloads folder.
You then click on this file and it will install, then ask you for your name.
Please put your full name there (like "Ralph Magadatz") and this will appear
at the corner of your picture for all to see. Follow the prompts for one or
two more clicks and you'll be in the meeting. By starting this as 6:30, if
you encounter issues we can work to resolve them before the meeting starts
at 7:00 PM.

change to our meeting. Please send your confirmation (or volunteer for an
open role) no later than Tuesday night 5:00 PM:

The meeting's theme remains the "Vernal Equinox".
I will send out a separate email with tips regarding participating in a
format such as this soon.
Front Range Toastmasters is all about education. As such, this is an
opportunity for all to learn and experience a technology that is being used
often in business today and to grow ourselves. The COVID-19 virus actually
has a silver lining in this case!
