Our toastmaster for the evening was our awesome Robin McIntosh. Theme was
Holidays. We had 15 people in attendance with four guests.

Speaker #1. Katelynn Pau.
Where do I start? Ray Pezolt gave the first evaluation. Alan Wong to give
2nd evaluation today. Preparing speeches and no clue where to start.
Google speech topics. Size and scope. Brainstorm with husband.
Speaker #2.
I want a vacation now, please.
Spring fever. I need a vacation. How to plan for a vacation. Covid over
a year. See activities in a different way. Zoom, shopping, know what 6
feet apart is like, and wearing masks. Need inspiration on where to go.
Road trips. Trip planning apps. Bring a mask and have fun.
Speaker #3. Lusi Estrada
Understanding leadership styles. Do not like talking about myself. Learn
by reading and identify personality. Stay educated. Reinforce
leadership. Leaders create more leaders. Coaching teams and training.
Lead by example. Be on time, be open minded and demonstrate integrity.

and then everybody wants the day off.

4. Bill Farrand. What is your least favorite Holiday? A. National
logger day. Birthdays are not a holiday. Long voyage before birthdays
becomes a holiday. Valentine's Day. Dagger in the heart because nobody to
celebrate it with.
General Evaluator was our wonderful Jonathan Kolber
Evaluator #1. Alan Wong on Katelynn Pau. Improved on all of Ray's
recommendations. From slowing down and using gestures to enumerate
points. Recommend describing examples with google and brainstorming. Well
organized speech. Good time line and audience was engaged.
Evaluator #2. Bill Farrand on Pattie Apple. Product endorsement. Smooth
natural presentation. Get out there again. Topic of interest to
everybody. Specific to power points. Good eye contact. Make slides more
engaging.
Evaluator #3. Jennifer Dunne on Luis Estrada. Not what leadership style.
It's if your good at it. Examples and illustrations were excellent.
Descriptive enough. Interesting and well constructed. Compelling? What
is in it for me? Recalling the story and not looking off. Speech delivery
natural and great flow.

It was another outstanding meeting. A reminder to everyone. When
evaluations are given, they are opinions. Sometimes we agree. Sometimes
we disagree. Sometimes I feel that evaluations are a little harsh. Maybe
because we expect more from each other. Maybe we just like to be harsh.
Maybe it's even warranted because we are distracted, hungry, and lazy.
Whatever the reason may be, it's to make us better. And to be better is a
journey we should all strive for.
