 This is href46721.

 * Select a number of files by clicking on the first file, hold SHIFT and
 click on the last file you want selected.
 * Now, while holding SHIFT, right-click on any file (preferable in the
 middle of your block of selected files), in order to "Create relative
 link" or "Force identify".

 -> The selection gets changed: the last file is now the file you right-
 clicked on.

 If you shift-right-click on an existing selection of files, the selection
 should not be altered.

 (If, however, only one file is selected, the shift-right-click could
 extend the selection to the shift-right-clicked file, showing the shift-
 context menu containing the "Forced identify" etc. items. This does
 already behave like this currently.)
