I've configured my GMX account in Haiku which has thousands of mails.
Retrieving mails seems to trigger a bug where the IMAP connection worker
consumes CPU in an endless loop. When I attach Debugger to the mail_daemon
team, I see that stdout is flooded with repeated messages "Error during
parsing: Unexpected end of string".
If more info is needed, I can try to obtain it with some instructions.
