I recently saw a video of a [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bW5rN612epA
"blind walkthrough"], i.e. someone records their experience using Haiku
wihthout reading up on anything about it before. When coming to the
HaikuDepot (finally... it's a long video, though I recommend watching it
to see a fresh perspective), the user got an empty list after choosing the
"Games" category.
I wondered what was going on there, until I remembered the "Show | Only
featured packages". I normally always enter a search term, which disables
that option...
How about we disable that option when a category is chosen (just like when
you enter a search term)?
And: featured packages could have a yellow star in a column in front of
the icon. Clicking onto that column's header could sort the featured
packges to the top (and keep the current sorting order within).
