Anyone else having problems makeing a USB-Stick?

Using Installer I only managed to create a booting USB stick, by
formatting the raw device directly in DriveSetup, i.e. don't initialize
the disk with a partition map a don't create a partition.

I also tried creating partition map and partition and installed the boot
manager after using Installer. The boot menu is reached, but no Haiku
found on the stick (unfortunately I forgot the exact error message...). I
ended up automatically in the boot options screen where I could select the
Haiku installs I have on the internal harddisk.
