The automatic management of the application menu has been added for
convenience. It seemed most people like such an automatism, though the
debate on whether to add application categories was somewhat undecided. In
principle the current implementation can support both strategies (but
lacking a standard set of categories and an actual categorization of/in
the packages there's no choice ATM).
It also supports the old BeOS way of manual managment. To switch to that,
all you have to do is: 1. open "/boot/home/config/settings/deskbar". 2.
Create a link pointing to "menu" in the same directory and name it
"menu_entries". 3. Enjoy!
