About 3 years ago I opened this ticket: #9286;
#9286 was meant as enhancement.
However, since in the meantime I installed Windows 7 on my main computer,
I've found the following behavior (this ticket is about a specific lack on
my system; the #9286, instead, is about an improvement on systems which
doesn't provide this hardware feature):
On my system I have an HDA integrated sound card, and on Windows 7 I am
able to choose, as audio input in the audio preferences, the "stereo mix"
- I can record, as audio stream, everything that is sent to the audio
output, routed to the audio input - this feature is available on Win 7:

but on Haiku I'm not able to choose an equivalent of "stereo mix" as audio
source: there's not any option available inside Media Preferences.
hrev50141 and also older versions.
