#12776: media_server can't properly disconnect/reconnect from outputs

1. Add another output to the system (doesn't really matter, even if it's a
broken one.)
2. Switch to that as default output in Media settings.
3. Reboot.
4. Open Media preferences, change back to first one
Expected result: Output works as it did before
Actual result: Stays connected to the intermediate option (Cortex confirms
this), does not switch back to first until after another reboot.
