 Yes, I wonder if there's a race condition in the FS cache. Since NVMe is
 non sequential (that is, calling read() on an NVMe device from two
 successive threads may return the second thread before the first), and I
 don't think any other disk driver supports that (not even ramdisks, iirc)
 we may be hitting a very interesting bug indeed.
