 A solution, where idle threads run at the lowest found p-state (8), comes
 to mind. Leave other threads on the p-state according to the selected
 power saving mode (on/off), how it's now.

 But I'm very glad. It's no issue on my desktop (except fan noise) for me.
 Laptop users, with non-hwp cpus, may suffer from higher power drain on
 Haiku.
