#16905: Mail_deamon stops receiving emails after some time

Real hardware Lenovo x201, build nightly (last updated 9 april 2021)
8 GB RAM, no issues with hardware or networking - connected via wire.
Account is IMAP (using SSL for receiving), only one account used.
Mail deamon usually receives mails, after 30-50 minutes, sometimes longer
mails are not fetched and deamon needs to be killed from running tasks to
receive emails again.
Clicking on "check for mail now" does not work in such circumstances as
well, so I assume it is the mail kit, not mail application.
