#4843: Disabling VirtualMemory does not free up disk space -----------------------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: Adek336 | Owner: leavengood Type: bug | Status: assigned Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Preferences/VirtualMemory | Version: R1/Development Resolution: | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All -----------------------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by leavengood): A user in IRC found this bug as well, but in his case deleting the file did not seem to actually free the disk space. Either way the system should remove or at least truncate to 0 the swap file when virtual memory is disabled. I'll attempt to make the fix which does one or the other. It will be my first kernel change ;) -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/4843#comment:3> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
