Comment (by paulfxh):

 Hi Korli
 Thanks for your comment.
Yes, the computer where I have Haiku is a Dell Dimension E520 (3GB RAM,
GeForce 7300 LS) of a little more than three years old. However, I only
acquired it for myself about 6 months ago.

I have Ubuntu 10.10 RC1 on this computer also (in addition to Windows 7).
Sound works perfectly in these OSes.
However, I don't have FreeBSD on this machine but, if it would be of any
help to you, I'd be happy to install it.
Still plenty of HDD space available.

No, I didn't build Haiku from source this time and the version I'm using
 here is R1A2.

Begeistert? Well, up to now, no. I'm more of an enthusiastic, but
relatively inexperienced, amateur than a seasoned professional. I just do
 this for fun.

If there is any further information I can provide, or tests I can perform
for you, I'd be happy to oblige.

Thanks also for your comments on my blog. However, it's really just a
personal diary of my computer stuff and I put it online primarily to avoid
 losing it. :-)

 Cheers
 Paul
