#6178: RAM 1GB of 4GB reported used after boot -------------------------------+-------------------------------------------- Reporter: michael.weirauch | Owner: axeld Type: bug | Status: closed Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: System/Kernel | Version: R1/Development Resolution: invalid | Keywords: Blockedby: | Patch: 0 Platform: x86 | Blocking: -------------------------------+-------------------------------------------- Comment(by bonefish): I pretty much don't care. Whoever wants to change it, [http://dev.haiku- os.org/browser/haiku/trunk/src/system/kernel/vm/vm_page.cpp?rev=37131#L3611 vm_page_get_stats()] is where it all happens. To report the ignored memory back to userland the system_info structure has to be extended. Adding a field at the end would help to do that in a (mostly) binary compatible way. [http://dev.haiku- os.org/browser/haiku/trunk/src/system/kernel/system_info.cpp?rev=37000#L148 _user_get_system_info()] needs to be changed to copy no more than requested back to userland, though. -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/6178#comment:6> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
