You need a usb key with a hardware write protect switch.
Steps to reproduce:
- Lock the key with the hardware switch.
- Insert it in your haiku pc.
- Mount it read-write
- Try to delete some files
Panicks with "could not write back block xxx"
Actually could well be another symptom of ticket #6346
