I have the same problem. It helps to turn off ACPI. When you boot the CD
hold down the shift key. Also need to disable ACPI at Haiku boot time from
the hard disk.
Sometimes there is only a blue screen.
The problem occurs in Alpha3. In Alpha1 and 2 had no such a problem.
