Your ticket is same as #6559 except he gets white screen instead of gray.
Both of you have: a) i915 graphics b) EDID issue
r38329 is the problem for you. You can try r38328 & then r38329 to be
sure yourself and confirm it. Would guess that code does not work right
on i915 (mobile?) graphics chipset.
