I've installed a Soudblaster live 24 bit on Haiku. Isn't recognized by
default, i have to install opensound. With opensound is recognized as
Audigy LS. When i select the audio card from "Audio settings" in Audio
input and output and then restart media services, I can see from process
control, the media addon server bring the cpu at 100% (in the thread
called "Audio mixer control"). So i have to reboot Haiku.
And here the second bug: at this time Haiku become unbootable. It hangs at
the icon disk (the fourth). And on output screen debug i can read errors
 about ATA 0. (screenshot attached)
I've tried three times with a fresh installation of Haiku (r40624 and
r40774), also on another hard disk, but these problems remains when i
install opensound: media addon server bring the cpu at 100% and unbootable
system after installation of opensound. These bugs are reproducible every
 time on my system.
Before I had another sound card and everything was fine with opensound,
and the new card is not buggy.
