 I've seen the same problem with an Acer TravelMate 8101WLMi. With fail-
 safe video mode enabled, the computer boots into Haiku but enters KDL a
 few seconds after the desktop is loaded (see TM8101_KDL.jpg). If safe mode
 is choosen in addition to fail-safe video mode, the computer boots into
 Haiku but freezes later. However, the system runs fine if the HDA driver
 is renamed. System information attached: TM8101_syslog.txt,
 TM8101_listdev.txt.
