 I would prefer to have the test logic in Installer, too -- if you already
 have created a partition elsewhere, you might still end up with an
 unbootable Haiku afterwards.

 Even worse, if you don't install Haiku to the first partition, the fix
 doesn't do anything useful at all. So IMO it would be nicer not to
 randomly choose a partition to make active, but let Installer do an
 informed decision instead.
