I was testing again in hrev43877 the bug does not appear for me now. Since
I reported this bug I have had nearly complete change of hardware. Also
the installation of Haiku I did reporting the bug with was installed over
the top of the version before. same thing over and over for quite a lot of
versions back. This time a did a fresh install and now only have one sound
driver: HDA Audio.
Sound Recorder seems to work now. I am not certain what this is related
to, if it is different hardware, fresh install or change of installed
version. The problem was going back quite a bit with many versions I tried
except for now.
Also in Media prefs I had two sets of controls: One for HDA Audio and
another for ATI HD Audio. Now I only have HDA Audio.
The message in the attachment, "Cannot connect to selected input", might
have related to conflict between the two drivers.
