That you don't see a pressed menu state has nothing to do with the double
click handling AFAICT, but is just how menus work (the Deskbar is a menu
bar, not a normal menu): when you click an item, there is supposed to be a
menu on the screen :-)
This should have been like this since forever, at least I guess it's how
it worked on BeOS as well (can't test right now), but maybe it has been
introduced with Haiku.
