Not with a prebuilt image, the filesystem size is fixed at the point of
initialization, so dd'ing it over will simply result in a 500MB filesystem
regardless. You'd need to be able to try to install to the 4GB partition
via Installer or build an image to it from another OS in order to get at
the full capacity.
