#8780: Very large JPEG crashes WebPositive ----------------------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: jstressman | Owner: leavengood Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Applications/WebPositive | Version: R1/Development Resolution: | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All ----------------------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by jstressman): Wasn't there a discussion somewhere about this that included talk of breaking up the image in order to handle it better? Like either only loading into memory the part that would actually be displayed (if full size), or only a scaled version if viewed scaled or something. "Tiling" or something. (Sorry for my non-technical explanation.) Is this, or would this be, included on the OS side rather than on an application specific basis? -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/8780#comment:3> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
