#8984: More than 99% interrupts of vector 18 are unhandled -----------------------------------------+------------------------------ Reporter: x-ist | Owner: nobody Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Drivers/Network/atheroswifi | Version: R1/Development Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | Has a Patch: 0 Platform: x86 | -----------------------------------------+------------------------------ This is haiku-hrevr1alpha4-44597. Tested on[[BR]] Acer Aspire 7551G Phenom N390 2GHz[[BR]] WiFi: Atheros Communications Inc. AR928X Wireless Network Adapter 1. Booted from USB stick with "haiku-hrevr1alpha4-44597-releasecandidate- anyboot". 2. When the Desktop appeared the system halted with a white bar at the top of screen. Maybe an abborted KDL? 3. After trying different boot options I noticed that often (not allways) the system boots to a usable state when user addons are disabled. Mostly I get so see the white bar. 4. After luckily "overcomming" the "white bar" state the system seems to be usable normally. 5. That's when I was able to install Haiku to hd. 6. Booting from hd exactly the same problem appeared again. 7. Long story short I have now two syslogs, one for a failed boot and a successful (so to say) boot. The logs show lots of issues with "atheroswifi": {{{ KERN: More than 99% interrupts of vector 18 are unhandled KERN: [net/atheroswifi/0] ieee80211_ref_node (ieee80211_send_probereq:1748) 0x827f2000<78:e4:00:15:57:07> refcnt 3 KERN: More than 99% interrupts of vector 18 are unhandled KERN: [net/atheroswifi/0] ieee80211_ref_node (ieee80211_send_probereq:1748) 0x827f2000<78:e4:00:15:57:07> refcnt 3 Last message repeated 1 time KERN: More than 99% interrupts of vector 18 are unhandled }}} 8. After one of the successful boot attempts I tried to connect to my wifi AP and after entering the credentials the system entered KDL with a "unhandled page fault". -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/8984> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
