New description: I'm testing Haiku on an old system with a SIS Chipset. listdev shows {{{ device Mass storage controller (IDE interface) [1|1|80] vendor 1039: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] device 5512: 5513 IDE Controller }}} Haiku KDLs randomly on boot or during usage unless I disable IDE DMA in the safe mode boot options. The KDL message shows a read fault. Not very important since it's limited to this old chipset, but still worth logging. Assigning to me at the moment, since I'm the owner of the hardware in question. -- -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/9364#comment:1> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
