 VLC port is not Haiku component. It has own codecs and use Haiku only for
 presenting frames on screen and playing audio. Also it is pretty old and
 probably don't support WebM. There are no newer VLC avalible for now. So I
 think that this bug is invalid.

 Try MediaPlayer - Haiku native player. Mayble it supports WebM. If not,
 try some 3rd party player from Haikuware.
