I pushed the changes to master, they are built in hrev53922. It should
"soon" show up on https://download.haiku-os.org/nightly-images/x86_64/ and
SoftwareUpdater.

I reverted to Haiku’s default HDA driver and then ran some tests today.
I’m still encountering the problem with intermittent failures of playback
if I double-click an audio file right after bootup and try to play it
through MediaPlayer. I don’t know if that differs in any way from your
test using system sounds.
