I sent that message off to those I mentioned. Just something to let them
know and be a bit sociable. Like you say, I would guess we are the last
thing on their minds at the moment.

Hi all
I have contacted all our new advertisers saying that we are
broadcasting on internet only this year and asking them to carry over
their contract to next year. One has agreed and waiting to hear from
others, but I guess that they will have more important issues on their
mind at the moment.

Tony,
No, I was not suggesting we do that. It's too late now. In any case we
would need permission for each because of relevance, context to today's
situation etc.
It was Jon's suggestion some time ago but I wanted to confirm we were
not broadcasting ads. I was uncertain as there was no conclusion to
Jon's original post.
I would like to send a message simply to let our advertisers know we are
on, spread the word etc. Andy has confirmed that we are not carrying ads
(except in the case of broadcasting some of last year's recorded shows),
so now I know that if I send the message, it will make sense and be
accurate.

I reckon it’s a good idea, regular and committed advertisers,Wasps??? 😁 etc perhaps we can compile a short list of standard ads
and these can be sent to those using their own studio, like the
jingles and music packs JB sent out?...
Cheers

Just to pick up on something Jon posted some time ago and for which I
don't think there was any conclusion.
I presume we are not broadcasting any advertising this year? I ask
goodbecause Jon suggested that we might broadcast old adverts free as a
will gesture to our regular clients. A bit late now in any case as I
think we would need to get permission from them first before doing so.
What I was going to do though, was to email the four that I have had
dealings with in the past: True Crime, Adams & Jarret, KC Computers and
Fastprint simply to let them know we are online this year. Suggested
wording as follows:
"Hello <???>,
I hope all is well with you and the team.
I just thought you might like to know we are operating a slimmed down
Hastings Rock this year. We will all be broadcasting from our homes (no
central studio) to comply with lockdown. As a result our schedule is a
time around.bit more limited so to keep costs down, we are online only this
No plans for taking advertising but I just thought I would let you know
as I thought you might like to listen in.
www.hastingsrock.co.uk.
regards,
Simon."
What do you think? Is that a good idea? Are you happy with the wording?
supportive ofThe idea came about mainly for True Crime as they are very
us. I have not sent anything yet though as I thought we should be in
agreement first and I want to check first that we are not broadcasting
any ads?
