Sorry, I sent this direct rather than though the list. Let's try again.

Chyrp is an application that allows any of us who have an account to write directly to the home page of the website. Jon provided the facility and set it up an he and I put the page together that allows it to appear on our home page.

It was done so I did not have to put up everything myself and you did not have to wait or rely on me to do so. It means we can all contribute to the website rather than it all being up to one person. All you need is a login to the Chyrp server, which can be provided and perhaps a little help to get going with your first blog. It also requires the restoration of the page I had there to pick up the Chyrp feed. This last is very easy as I have it here on my machine. I can simply reload it to our web server

Obviously when it goes up, everything latterly put on the page by Sarah will be overwritten. Not a big problem because the same info could be put up through Chyrp, as a series of blogs.

Let me know if you would like the page restored. If you wish to be a contributor, you will need to request a user name and password to the Chyrp server if you do not already have access. As far as I am aware Tony, Dawn, Jon and obviously myself currently have access to this facility.

Once it was set up, I used it myself to update news items on the site rather than editing the home page directly. It works very well.
