Afternoon all,
It has been suggested that we might put together a quick promo to be broadcast
as soon as we can in order to perhaps see if there are any young talents out
there that would like to get involved as DJ’s. As you know, I have been
advocating for a long time now that we need to develop the younger audience,
and if we don’t give them a chance, then Hastings Rock will eventually fade and
crumble as we all get old and “retire” 😊 (Obv’s I am long way of that phase…. )
May I suggest that we use the info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
<mailto:info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> mail address that I currently “use”, to get
young people to send in demos, does anyone think this is a bad idea, and we
shouldn’t touch it with a barge pole, or does anyone have anything else to add?
I am hoping that the 1 Hour Grunge Show special that you all may have heard
about, being broadcast this coming Wednesday evening at 9pm in Phil’s show (he
has agreed 😊) might spark peoples interest….. yes, it will mean some work for
us all to decide, and train etc new people, but I commend this idea to the
house!
Thoughts please…. Will get going with a short Promo ad to be run from now till
the end of broadcast……
